Période d'adaptation au nouveau matelas : comment accélérer ce processus
We know that changing mats involves a period of adaptation that can be uncomfortable for many people.
The first nights on a new mat are not always as pleasant as you might think. Lorsqu'on remplace un ancien matelas, souvent douloureux à cause de son affaissement et de ses bosses, on s'attend à dormir sur un nuage dès la première nuit. This desire is often fulfilled, and many people quickly adapt to their new sleeping position.
But what happens if it doesn't happen after the first night? It's actually normal. This initial adaptation period can last from 1 to 10 nights. In certain cases, it may be a little longer. We have written this article to help you if you encounter any difficulties adapting to a new model.
Here are some tips:
1 - Switching from a very soft or stiff mattress to a soft mattress.
One of the most difficult situations is that people who are dissatisfied with their old mattress look for a mattress offering more comfort and warmth. But when it's time to sleep, the first night can be a little tricky; our bodies need a period of adaptation. Imagine: you haven't practiced any physical activity for a long period of time and, when you go back to sleep, you'll feel tired. It's the same with the new matelas. On an old mattress, the growth and affection take place exactly where the body supports the most weight and where it used to. If a new saddle doesn't show these changes, your body may feel less uncomfortable when it comes time to adapt to the new reality.
Our advice : Try to sleep with a plaid jacket just under the drap-housse for the first few days and increase it over time.
2 - Change to a mat with the same temperature index.
Many people ask themselves: "If I change from a soft mat to one with the same density, will I adapt instantly?"
Pas vraiment ! When a mousse is used for a long period of time, exposed to daily humidity and the minerals present in perspiration, it begins to oxidize and degrade, losing its initial fermentation over time.
Our advice : Take the same advice as before.
3 - Switching from a soft mattress to a soft mattress.
As strange as this may sound, switching from a soft mattress to a soft mattress also requires adaptation. In this case, it's not a case of joint pain, but rather a change in the habit of sleeping on a more comfortable mattress.
Our advice: for the first few nights on your new bed, sleep on your back, in a flat position, with a pillow against you. This will allow you to be in the best possible position and to avoid dizziness.
